The Solar Tree Project is a student project at UC San Diego whose mission is to research, design, build and test a mobile solar charging station. UC San Diego's student chapter of Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW), in collaboration with the Renewable Energy Society at UCSD (RES) is working full-throttle to see this awesome project through to its beautiful conclusion, slated for December 2011! The project is majority-funded by the generosity of SunEdison in partnership with ESW National under the guidelines of the innovation-inspiring Green Island Grant, totalling $10,900!
